DanArBraz, born Daniel Le Bras (1949, Quimper, Brittany), is a Breton guitarist an the founder of Héritage des Celtes.
For several years DanArBraz seemed to turn his back on Celticmusic.
DanArBraz's greatest moment occurred in 1992 when the organiser of the Festival de Cornouaille in Quimper asked him to create a live show uniting traditional music with modern styles.
DanArBraz returned to the studio in 1978 to record a second album entitled "Allez dire à la ville", which was closely followed by his third album, "The Earth's Lament" in 1979.
DanArBraz embarked on a European tour in 1981 to coincide with the release of his new album, "Acoustic".
DanArBraz and his group of 70 musicians embarked on a highly successful French tour in the spring of 98, playing to a capacity audience of 3,000 folk fans when they performed at Le Zénith in Paris (16 and 17 March) as part of the Saint Patrick Day's celebrations.

DanarBraz, a lifelong native of Quimper, in Brittany, is now recognized throughout the world as an outstanding musician, but he was relatively little known until the success of Heritage des Celtes.
Dan discovered the guitar through rock and roll and learned his trade with Alan Stivell among others, finally acquiring a style which has made him one of the most widely respected guitar players in the world.
In the 1980's DanarBraz recorded many albums and toured widely throughout Europe and the U.S. In July, 1993, Dan found himself surrounded by 75 musicians for a legendary concert at the close of the 70th Festival de Cornouaille, in Quimper, Brittany.
DanarBraz is, together with Alan Stivell and Gilles Servat, one of the most famous Breton musicians, but as popular he can be, his music (except for The Heritage of the Celts) still is neglected by non-specialists.
This anthem was originaly written by Gweltaz Ar Fur and put into music by DanArBraz to support the Breton language schools (Diwan).
The audience witnessed the union, for one night, of DanArBraz, together with Gilles Servat, Armens, Tri Yann and overall Alan Stivell with whom he began his career tens of years ago.

His electric guitar made an exciting mix with Alan's traditional instruments.

I find this CD to capture the feel of Celticmusic together with excellent guitar playing, as only DanArBraz can do.
(I should be honest and say that I am one of Dan's fans.) Mi Le M'uilinn, the fourth track, which is sang by Karen Matheson (lovely voice) is superb.
Some of the songs are instrumental, some are sang in Gaelic, English and French (Dan is French himself).

An excellent introduction into DanArBraz (that is the correct spelling...) music.
This is a collection of instrumentals and vocal works that highlight his passion for folk (especially BretonCeltic) influenced music.
Of special interest should be 2 other DanArBraz CDs "L'Heritage Des Celts" (can also be procured as a box set with a live CD that I could not recommend more highly), and "DanArBraz et L'Heritage Des Celts - Finisterres".
Celticmusic in contemporary arrangement done by the lead instrumentalists and vocalists of various great bands...all coming together under the "L'Heritage Des Celtes" umbrella.
A remarkable recording by what can be termed a "celticmusic supergroup" brought together occasionally by the great Breton guitarist/composer DanArBraz.
This is non-traditional folk music (purists beware!) but if you are a bit adventurous, a must buy.
Este disco es una clara recopilación hecha en concierto de los mayores exitos de DanArBraz a lo largo de su carrera con inmejorables arreglos ejecutados en vivo.
Si eres un fan de DanArBraz debes de tenerlo!!!
This is the quintessential live document of what was one of the truly remarkable music conglomerations of the 1990's.
