	The Hoya \| MLS Drafts Gargan
		Gargan, who said he could not bear to watch the draft, learned of the news in a phone call from Tabatznik.
		Gargan became a member of the Rapids last Friday, and already on Tuesday he had to leave Georgetown for a voyage to Ecuador and Miami with his new team.
		Gargan became the fourth Georgetown soccer player to be drafted by the MLS, following Phil Wellington (C ’95), Brandon Lieb (B ’97) and Eric Kvello (B ’99).

		Private eye Barry Craig (William Gargan) is hired by would-be public figure Peter Tilton (Dan Tobin) to pay off the debts owed by his wife (Eve Miller) to a casino, and he goes up against tough owner LaVerne Ellis (Tol Avery) to keep her out.
		The main reason why Gargan was so convincing as a detective was that he was probably the only actor of his time who had actually been a private detective.
		Gargan eventually got throat cancer, had a laryngectomy and campaigned vigourously (and rather ironically) against smoking for The American Cancer Society for the last twenty years of his life).

		A quick throw-in from Cunningham to Henderson opened the space for the Rapids veteran to send a through ball to defender Dan Gargan, who had joined the attack.
		Gargan sent a cross in to the top of Dallas’s box, where an onrushing Nkong buried the ball into the back of the net with an accurate first touch.
		The Rapids played one man down for 28 minutes when Nkong, the Cameroonian international who had just given the lead to the team, saw his second yellow card of the game in the 62nd minute and was ejected from the match.

		LEXINGTON, Va.- Dan Gargan’s goal in the 109th minute gave Georgetown a 4-3 double-overtime victory Tuesday afternoon against VMI in non-conference men’s soccer action.
		Gargan’s fourth goal of the season came with just a minute and a half remaining before the contest was declared a tie.
		The goals would come fast and furious after that, as VMI (9-8-1) evened the contest at the 41 minute mark, as freshman Jeremy Clement, playing in only his third contest of the season, scored his first collegiate goal, unassisted.

	Best Teammate
		Even though I was somewhat of a mascot, Dan would always take me seriously, working with me to help me become a better player.
		But this was never the case with Dan, who saw my role on that championship team as important as anybody's.
		When I had to miss a couple of games due to "philosophical differences with school administration" (particularly a math teacher with a skewed world view), it was Dan who kept my chin up and let the team know that I was thinking about them and wishing them well.
