Donald A. Manzullo (born March 24, 1944), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1993, representing the 16th District of Illinois (map).
Manzullo is the chairman of the United States House Committee on Small Business as well as the chair and founder of the House Manufacturing Caucus.

Manzullo represents the 16th Congressional District of Illinois, which includes the counties of Winnebago, Boone, Stephenson, JoDaviess, Ogle, Carroll, the majority of McHenry County and parts of DeKalb and Whiteside counties.
Manzullo previously secured $1.5 million to help Galena replace its failing sewage system and more than $2 million to help Johnsburg officials build a wastewater treatment plant to replace residential septic systems, which were dumping more than a million gallons of raw and partially treated sewage into the Fox River each day.
Congressman Manzullo took a leadership role in 1993, eliminating the four select committees that had no legislative jurisdiction and were duplicitous with permanent, standing committees.

Manzullo said the shuttle had just been refurbished at great cost.

In 2004, Lipinski's father, then-Congressman Bill Lipinski ran for re-nomination in the Democratic primary.
After again easily winning the nomination, the elder Lipinski stepped down, allowing the Democratic party to nominate Dan Lipinski as its Congressional candidate.
This was a somewhat controversial move in that it allowed the younger Lipinski to sidestep the Democratic primary and succeed his father in office with only token Republican opposition.

An amendment numbered 2 printed in House Report 108-64 to eliminate the requirement under the bill for the conviction of a transferor who knowingly transfers a firearm, knowing that such a firearm will be used to commit a crime of violence before a transferor can be sued.
For all his quirks(some I agree with ie the UN, other I don't like Iraq), this was the one issue that he could always be counted on.
The dems were trying to insert clauses so that gun manufacturers could be SUED for the reasons of the amendments given(and failed).

Representative Dan Manzullo of Illinois and Senator Olympia Snowe of Maine, both Republicans, requested the General Accounting Office, the investigative unit of Congress, report on whether the Chinese government is hurting the U.S. economy by manipulating the yuan's value.
Snowe and Manzullo also asked the GAO to research whether Japan, Korea, and Taiwan are manipulating their currencies, and asked it to estimate the dollar amount and market share of U.S. business lost because of such actions.
Four other senators last week wrote to Treasury Secretary John Snow calling on him to investigate whether China is responsible for 34 months of consecutive manufacturing job losses in the U.S. The U.S. trade deficit with China grew to $9.9 billion in May from $9.5 billion.
