El Goonish Shive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
El Goonish Shive is a webcomic by Dan Shive, launched on January 21, 2002, that mainly depicts the lives of a group of friends in their junior year of high school.
According to Shive, soon after the comic launched and began to gather fans, the forums teemed with one question: "By what shall we call ourselves?" Shive had no clue, and picked the first thing that came to mind: bunnies [3][4].
Dan shows up in fillers or other strips external to the "story comics", to simply rant about something or to pursue some funny idea, perhaps interacting with the cast and perhaps not.

Full Reviews of El Goonish Shive
Dan Shive has a furry and transformation fetish, and he just HAS to let out all of that pent-up sexuality somehow.
The problem with all these jokes is that Dan Shive expects the funny to just write itself, as transformations are odd enough to be funny on their own.
Dan is a good writer, a very rapidly improving artist, and an upcoming comic genious.

 El Goonish Shive
One of the finest comics on the web, Dan Shive manages to project a depth of heart and soul into his characters that few artists could even dream of.
Perhaps the best thing I can say about Dan Shive's work is that he makes the reader care, deeply, about his cosmos, his characters, and their happiness.
Dan's comic scares the living shit of me. In good way.

In any case, Dan Shive has repeatedly stated that he was not interested in doing any crossovers in the foreseeable future; he has even gotten quite angry over the issue in the past, when people have pestered him to do crossovers with The Wotch and Dan & Mab's Furry Adventures.

Set in Moperville, El Goonish Shive is probably the most unique comic I've ever seen.
Not only does it have the most Gender-Bending of any comic I've ever read (It proves that, with a good enough storywriter, it is possible to gender-swap all the main characters at least once without it seeming like a crappy fanfic), it also has other types of transformation and abnormal stuff in abundance.
Like a mixture of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" with a liberal application of gender-bending which is rather reminiscent of "El Goonish Shive".
