Topic: Dana Ashbrook

Daphne Ashbrook - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Daphne Ashbrook (born January 30, 1966 in Long Beach, California) is a American actress.
She is the sister of actor Dana Ashbrook who appeared in Twin Peaks and Dawson's Creek.
Her part in Doctor Who caused consternation among some of that show's fans because the Doctor shares a romantic kiss with her at the end of the movie, whereas he had been a rather asexual character when previously portrayed on television.

dOc DVD Review: Python 2 (2002)
In order to transport the snake once it is captured, Larsen has to recruit the cargo truck services of disenfranchised American civilian Dwight Stoddart (Dana Ashbrook) and his Russian wife Nalia (Simmone Jade MacKinnon).
The comic-book style dialogue is at times stilted and brash, but it's delivered with a broad B-movie zest, and the fully one-dimensional tough guy character of Larsen actually comes across as the most developed.
Ashbrook, who played bad boy Bobby Briggs on Twin Peaks, plays Stoddart like an extension of his Peaks' character.

Cliches, predictability undermine 'Last Place on Earth'
Dana Ashbrook plays Rob Baskin, a lackadaisical thirty-something banker whose life is a roll call of predictability.
When his mother (a fine turn by an unrecognizable Phyllis Diller) dies, his siblings assign him the job of scattering her ashes in the Sierra Nevadas.
Part of the problem is Ashbrook, whose wooden performance drags down many scenes.

Chase’s plating of the 1-cent 1851 plate I early was sold in 1925 to stockbroker Stanley B. Ashbrook (1882-1957), who had published a small pamphlet on the 1-cent.
In 1938, financed by Saul Newbury, Ashbrook published his major two-volume opus on the 1-cent.
Having bought a small 1-cent collection from Ashbrook in 1952, Mortimer Neinken (1896-1984) became fascinated with this stamp and authored a revised plating in 1972.  In 1960 he had revised the Ashbrook/Perry work on plating of the 1855-59 10-cent stamp, and he also published a plating of the 12-cent value.

Yes, we find out that she is ill and yes, he just lost his mother (Phyllis Diller), but the dialogue is flat and the acting, with the exception of Campbell-Martin, consists of reciting lines.

Being an absolute sucker for shark films, crocodile and alligator flicks, snake flicks, tick and roach flicks, worm flicks and in fact any nasty creepy crawly flick, I found the cover of Python 2 irresistible and popped up some popcorn for the occasion.
The fact that the cast comprised of Billy Zabka, Dana Ashbrook and Simmone Jade MacKinnon shouldn’t make the slightest difference but it did suggest a production of the rather limited scale and lavishness.
The first noticeable thing about the film is that he cast made up of a lot of Russian sounding names which suggests that the film was an American-Russian co-production (how times have changed).
