		DANAPUR: A comprehensive plan has been chalked out to develop the Danapur railway station as the satellite and second terminal station of the Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR).
		This station, which is one of the oldest stations and is the headquarters of Danapur rail division, will have all modern amenities for the passengers, said Danapur DRM P K Goel.
		Thus, it is being proposed to the district administration to divert the outgoing heavy vehicles to the Khagaul Canal Road which directly connects to the main Bailey Road.

		The Railways is planning to set up an electric loco shed at Danapur, Bihar, which has become necessary following the opening of the Jhajha-Mughalsarai electrified section of the Danapur division.
		Danapur has a loco shed for steam engines that may eventually be converted into an electric loco shed.

		In the name of safety, the Indian Railways is cutting down 7,000 trees along the 380km stretch between Jhajha and Mughalsarai sections under Danapur railway division in Bihar.
		Nearly 800 trees have already been trimmed or cut, officials from the Danapur railway division said.
		The railway manager at Danapur, S K Burlhakoti, told rediff.com that disruptions had come down ever since the operation started.

		DANAPUR: Patna Junction is perhaps the only station of East Central Railway to have coach-indication facilities on the platforms.

	Patna-Delhi express derails
		One person was killed and at least 25 others injured as 14 coaches of the Patna-New Delhi Magadh Vikramshila Express derailed in the Baruna-Parasi section of Danapur division early on Sunday morning, railway sources said.
		One person succcumbed to his injuries at the Buxar Sadar Hospital, while the condition of one of the 25 injured is stated to be serious, a hospital source said.
