Dancing Stage Fever's basic premise is a simple one, yet nevertheless hugely effective: simply match a series of arrows as they move up the screen by matching the relevant icon on a dance mat controller or moving the joypad in the corresponding direction.
If you've played all your other dance mat games to death, this one is good for different songs, otherwise it is a replica of dancing stage megamix.
The work-out mode, is better than the one in dancing stage megamix, it now includes a programm mode, which will build up your training, for example you start with a 3 feet standard song, then do a 5 feet difficult song and end up with a 2 feet standard song.

Indeed, Dancing Stage: Party Edition for the PSOne has been in the UK top 20 for the last 5 months, and is still going strong at the time of writing.
I’m not a huge fan of Euro-pop, dance, techno, hard house or anything that doesn’t contain a guitar or two, but I can safely say that these tracks all serve their purpose well, and fans of the game will spend hours trying to beat all of them on the hardest setting.
There is no doubting that Dancing Stage is - and most probably always will be - the king of home rhythm action titles, and Konami are doing a great job of giving the addicts their fix.

Commonly touted as a dancing game, Konami's range of novelty boogying titles has been a hit in the arcades, accessible to just about everyone of sound body and great fun to boot.
It really isn't worth picking this up unless you intend to use a dance mat, however and playing DSM on the joypad, despite being significantly easier, is utterly without merit.
Some may find the choice of tracks unsuited to their tastes and some may not see the enjoyment in sliding around on a squeaky plastic mat but the fun I had while playing it was a different experience to most games; as soon as you step up, you can't help smiling.

Dancing Stage: Mario Mix Review - Gamecube Review - Australia's PAL Gaming Network
Enlisting the help of the daddy of Dance Dance Revolution (Konami) this is a collaboration which many deemed impossible and futile - the controversial idea of placing Nintendo characters into a DDR setting, including a story mode and various mini games to create a truly Nintendo-themed take on a traditional formula.
Not only is this the debut Dance Dance Revolution title on the Gamecube, but it also marks the first DDR game to include a Story mode.
On the replayability front, the obvious intention was for the gamer to play through the story mode a couple of times to unlock all the extras, however, this isn’t very enticing considering the tedium which must be gone through to unlock them.

Meanwhile, if your dance meter runs out at any point, it's Game Over, man. Needless to say, the game follows identical mechanics to any previous Dancing Stage game, with gradings dished out at the end of your little dance, and progressively harder difficulty settings to try out once you're comfortable with strutting your stuff.
While all this arrow-stomping nonsense is going on, all sorts of craziness occurs on the screen in the form of bizarre dance routines from Mario and the cast of adversaries that he meets on his journeys.
Sure, Dancing Stage Mario is nothing new, but it's an enduring, bizarre little concept with practically universal appeal, and a great way of wearing out super energetic kids.
