Danica Mae McKellar (born January 3, 1975), is an American actress of Scottish and Portuguese descent, best known for her role as Winnie Cooper in the television show, The Wonder Years.
Danica and her family moved to Los Angeles when she was 8, and soon after, she and her sister began acting.
Danica McKellar has also lent her voice to the character Jubilee for the video game X-Men Legends.

McKellar, best known for her portrayal of Winnie Cooper on the hit television show The Wonder Years, most recently made headlines when she returned to prime time with a recurring role on the Emmy-Award winning Series The West Wing.
As an undergraduate student at UCLA, McKellar was a member of the UCLA Mathematics Scholars Honors program, where she co-authored a research paper that helped solve a new problem in the area of Statistical Mechanics, now known as the Chayes-McKellar-Winn theorem.
Upon completing the project, McKellar received the honor of lecturing (as the only undergraduate) on the new mathematical discoveries confirmed by her research project at the 78th Annual Statistical Mechanics Conference at Rutgers University.

The last I heard about Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years), she was a UCLA math genius publishing a paper on "Percolation and Gibbs states multiplicity for ferromagnetic Ashkin-Teller models on Z2" (no joke).
McKellar chose the more difficult path of trying to drum up more acting roles by posing in her underwear for Stuff Magazine.
Danica, I understand you’re all grown up now and an attractive woman, but I felt a little uncomfortable looking at good ol’ Winnie like this.
