Topic: Daniel (DC Comics)

Amazon.com: The DC Comics Encyclopedia: Books: DK Publishing   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
The one thing that becomes painfully obvious to this long time comic reading fan is that the focus of this tome swings heavy to the post-Crisis universe (understandable as that is what the current continuity is - stuff reorganized and introduced since 1986).
Lets face it, unless DC reprints Who's Who you are not going to get a complete guide to the DC characters, this book is made to represent as many of their characters as they could.
DC experts and participants have contributed heavily to The DC Comics Encyclopedia, a reference created by the collaborative team of Phil Jimenez, Daniel Wallace, Scott Beatty and which should be considered indispensably definitive.

Hector Hall is a perennial DC (An electric current that flows in one direction steadily) character, and has assumed many guises during his stay in the DC Universe, and was at one point the Sandman (additional info and facts about the Sandman), hence his inclusion.
Later, Daniel, Lyta believes, is 'abducted' by Dream (A series of mental images and emotions occurring during sleep) of the Endless, since it is his destiny to fill Dream's shoes, and he belongs in the Dreaming, since he was conceived and born there.
Daniel was named in accordance with Neil Gaiman (additional info and facts about Neil Gaiman) 's decision to give the Endless names or titles beginning with the letter 'D', and after the Biblical prophet who interpreted Dreams.

DC current - Hutchinson encyclopedia article about DC current
The waveforms for DC are straight lines, as the voltage and current do not vary over a period of time.
If a resistor is connected in a circuit and measurements of voltage across the resistor and current flowing through it are taken over a period of time, then there will be no change in the voltage and current over this period.

Dream (DC Comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
One particular aspect of Dream is the central character of the series, so referring to this aspect of Dream as Morpheus differentiates him from Dream as a whole.
When the aspect known as Morpheus dies at the end of The Kindly Ones, the ninth collection of issues in the series, he is replaced by a new aspect, which used to be a child of Morpheus' aspect called Daniel.
This is a tricky concept, encapsulated in the tenth and final collection, The Wake, when one character at Morpheus' wake, perplexed by the question of who exactly has died, is told by another that the purpose of the wake is to mourn "a p-p-point of view".

I think more people are voting now, but still, if you have someone at a company really making sure that their artists and creative people vote, you can have these huge one-year spikes for certain companies or certain comics.
