Daniel Lapin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lapin was one of the Jewish voices in support of Mel Gibson's movie The Passion of the Christ, and was a strong supporter of the efforts by Terri Schiavo's parents to keep their daughter alive.
Daniel Lapin (born 1950?) is an Orthodox rabbi living in Mercer Island, Washington, and the founder of Toward Tradition (a Jewish-Christian organization).
Lapin's teachings are also aligned with Modern Orthodox Judaism, in that while he promotes observant Judaism, he is strongly in favor of observant Jews having interaction with other faith communities (in his view, mostly conservative and observant Christian communities) and broader political action outside of Judaism.

Christopher Hartop Antique Silver and Works of Art: Huguenot silver page
In stark contrast to Gibson’s monteith is an example of 1705-6 which, with its bold architectural mouldings and neo-classical style, is firmly in the new ‘French’ style, owing much to Daniel Marot’s published designs.
Marot had trained under Jean Berain and, leaving France at the revocation, he worked in both the Netherlands and England producing thousands of designs in the French neo-classical court style which was described at the time as ‘a la manniere de France’.
Interestingly, though, it bears the mark not of a Huguenot, but of Anthony Nelme, who took in a parcel of Lord Sackville’s plate for refashioning in 1705 and was one of the most prosperous of the native silversmiths of this period.

These pages are transcribed from the book by Daniel Gibson Axtell.
Daniel Axtell’s trial followed, but the book has this section titled, “The Tryal of William Howlet.” Justice was moving quickly; John Carew was executed the same morning as this trial and the Colonel was executed just four days later.
Note that Daniel Axtell (a 27-year-old captain in 1649 at the time of the crime) is not charged with anything he did as a “Souldier”, only for those things he did on his own that were not part of his “Commission”.

A self-defeating ideological rigidity (Rabbi Daniel Lapin a "shill for Mel Gibson"
Eastern By Rabbi Daniel Lapin © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com With the final death toll in Asia yet unknown, analyzing the calamity can appear callous, especially in the light of ancient Jewish wisdom's advice to refrain from even comforting mourners whose dead still lie before them, let alone analyzing their loss.
To reinforce this point, Lapin confided that he and his wife had chosen for their children to be born in a Catholic hospital that had a cross on the wall of every room rather than at Cedars-Sinai, a Jewish hospital in Los Angeles where he then lived.
