Make your voice heard on EU treaty : August 2007 : Daniel Hannan : Politics : Telegraph Blogs
Daniel Hannan is a Daily Telegraph leader writer and Conservative MEP for South East England.
Actually Daniel in your case you told us your father lived and ran a cotton farm in Santa Cruz/Bolivia; apparently in your family you preferred to live under the laws of Bolivia; you've also mentioned on several occasions that you're of Peruvian descent and that you grew up in Lima/Peru.
Daniel, It's a little odd that you are wondering aloud why no one is signing the petitions, all the while ignoring the one answer that is staring you in the face: people don't believe in the cause you are defending.

EURSOC: Paying The Bill For Berlin
Prominent among them is Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan, who writes in the Sunday Telegraph that Blair's accession to the top table is merely the culmination of a personal ambition to be at the heart of Europe.
The consitution is a case in hand - Hannan writes that it turns the EU into a "de facto and de jure" state.
Hannan goes on to tout his boss Michael Howard's Alternative EU, which would allow nations to integrate as much as they liked while their Eurorealist neighbours waved them on from the sidelines - a Europe rather too close to France's two-speed EU to appeal to Blair.

In this week's Spectator British MEP Daniel Hannan publishes a scathing attack on the EU's culture of corruption - and the Brussels' press corps willing complicity in making sure whistleblowers' tales never see the light of day.

Daniel Hannan, Conservative MEP for South East England, has responded to my letter regarding software patents.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t even read it, saying that because the Conservatives disagreed with the proportional representation system used at the EU elections, they’ve decided to subdivide the South East into 4 constituencies, and sending a letter to him was not appropriate.
Given that there’s no information on this anywhere on the Europarl website, it seems a rather churlish thing to do - “We didn’t want the system, so rather than play fair with it, we’ll just be petulant and pretend it runs the way we want anyway”.
