Daniel James Wolf - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Daniel James Wolf (born September 13, 1961 in Upland, California) is an American composer of serious music and a music scholar.
Wolf studied composition study with Gordon Mumma, Alvin Lucier, and La Monte Young, as well as musical tunings with Erv Wilson and Douglas Leedy and ethnomusicology.
Wolf performs Cageian experiments, mostly in his head, with or without the aid of chance procedures, but in doing so nevertheless engages musical functionality though without making a fetish of it.

Royce Carlton - Naomi Wolf Beauty Myth Ethical Leadership
Wolf has given voice to women of all ages, exploding the social myths that keep women struggling in their fight for equality.
Wolf’s latest book, Misconceptions: Truth, Lies and the Unexpected on the Journey to Motherhood, recounts her experiences (and those of other new mothers) with the shockingly business-like approach of the government, corporate America and even the medical industry to the needs of new mothers and families.
Wolf’s lectures examine current cultural trends that affect women and men in different stages of their lives, from the mixed messages that are ingrained in young women about their beauty and sexuality and the psychologically and physically devastating “hooking up” culture on college campuses to the obstacles that face couples looking to start a family.

FamilySearch: Wolfe Woulfe Family History and Genealogy in Ireland
James Woulfe O.P. George is first described as a magistrate, in 1643, and later, in 1646, as a merchant, when in favour of negotiating a peace treaty being offered by Ormond, but later again took up military leadership as Captain George Woulfe and led the defence of the siege which began in 1650.
In 1339 James was seeking a mill and 15 acres at Balysothenan (?), Co. Kildare, as heir to his unnamed mother, one of the daughters and co-heiresses of William Alesaundre, and, in 1358, was appointed a collector for the barony of Reban.
Wolfe, a highly able historian and genealogist, makes extensive use of documents subsequently destroyed in the PRO fire of 1922 and no longer available to us, and the quality of his work, unusually for the period, is beyond reproach.

BookPage Children's Review: Eye of the Wolf   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-06)
Eye of the Wolf is actually two stories, that of Blue Wolf, a one-eyed Canis lupus caged in a zoo, and that of his daily visitor, a silent boy named Africa.
Like a modern-day Kipling, Pennac relates how the smart and resourceful Blue Wolf came to be where he is. The author takes us swiftly from the wolf's position as a unique pup among many to the fateful day when his curious sister changes all their lives.
His journey to the other side of the bars of Blue Wolf's cage is as much a result of outside forces as it is Blue Wolf's allure—and it gives us a stinging reminder that man is just as endangered as those he endangers.
