Besides teaching, Kinsey was involved in coaching several school teams, and was in the board of several committees and associations, such as the American Olympians Association.
In 1959, Kinsey left Oberlin and became a professor at Earlham College and at the University of Michigan.

Jacob Ashenfelter Kinsey was the son of Benjamin Heckman Kinsey and Elizabeth Ashenfelter.
Kinsey was brought up on a farm and was educated in the common school, the high school and Friends boarding school.

Daniel Kinsey, whom I found some evidence was the son of one Henry Kinsey, served in Company C (Robertson 5 Shooters), 4th Texas Infantry (Hood's Brigade).
Daniel Kinsey and his regiment stayed in Camp Texas through October of 1861, preparing for their eventual assignment to a position in the Confederate defense line.
Daniel Kinsey and Company C of the Texas 4th Infantry participated in their first major battle on June 27, 1862, at Gaines' Mill, part of the Seven Days Battle.

Daniel Chapin Kinsey, the son of Edward and Inez Wheeler Kinsey, was born in St. Louis in 1902.
By way of illustration, Kinsey was the first chairman of the Oberlin Recreation Committee; a division chairman for the Oberlin Community Chest; and, a trustee of the Oberlin Shansi Memorial Association.
Posthumously, Kinsey was inducted into the hall of fame of the Ohio Association of Cross Country and Track (1981) and Oberlin College's Heisman Club (1991).

I am not a relative on Daniel Kinsey, just a Payette county researcher.
In an effort to help preserve the Washoe cemetery history, where Daniel is buried, I have taken photos of the remaining headstones.
I did some checking on the name you gave me and there is a spouse listed with the last name McDonald.

BALTIMORE — Daniel Kinsey highlighted the second day of competition at the USA Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hughes Stadium on the campus of Morgan State University.
Kinsey of Ohio endured the warm weather conditions to win the decathlon young men’s division with a total of 6814 points which was almost 700 points better than runner-up Michael Hall’s total of 6118.
Other highlights from today included the 4x800m relay for the midget boys/girls, young boys/girls, intermediate boys/girls, and the young men/women.
