Daniel Sedin (born September 26, 1980 in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden) is a professional ice hockey player for the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks.
Daniel played along with his brother Henrik and fellow NHL'ers Markus Naslund, Peter Forsberg, Alexander Steen, Adrian Aucoin, and Frantisek Kaberle for MoDo Hockey during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout.
He was also selected (along with his twin brother, Henrik Sedin) to represent Team Sweden at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turino.

First of all, I've been grossly dissapointed by the Sedins slow progress, though I've never been too impressed when they were still playing for Modo and their national team either..
I had always heard Daniel was the sniper but was surprised by his vision and playmaking throughout the years.

Let's keep in mind that Daniel did have 54 points in 2003-04, and was one of the top 15 scoring LWs in the league.
The Sedin line was in the top ten in 2nd line scoring - 7th overall I think.
Daniel has the potential to establish himself as one of the most prolific second liners in the Western Conference, if not the league.
