Bournonville's ballets -- created during Denmark's Golden Age, between 1830 and 1877, a period which for the sake of orientation spans the period between the American presidencies of Andrew Jackson and Rutherford B. Hayes -- were products of a Romanticism that strove for inner understanding amid a welter of potentially destabilizing emotions.

You should eat this cheese as is, in a simple mozzarella, tomato, and basil salad or perhaps marinated in olive oil and served as an antipasto.

 Moron Abroad
The Danish parliamentary election was held yesterday and the results are in.
My own amateur read on the election would therefore be this: the Danish political landscape hardly changed, but a fair number of voters moved out from the center: disaffected erstwhile Venstre supporters moved over to the Conservatives or the Danish People's Party while disaffected erstwhile Social Democrats trucked over to the Radical Left.
They're not especially surprising, which is why the elections were called in the first place: if American presidents were allowed to choose the timing of federal elections, then presidential approval ratings would determine the electoral cycle.

British Design Plans Of Danish Warships Seized By Britain In 1807
Danish, British, and American systems of measuring tonnage differed from one another, so the British tonnage figures for foreign warships they captured serve as a sort of Rosetta stone by which uniform comparisons may be made between the measured tonnages of Danish, British and American warships and, hence, assessments about individual ships.
The Danish warships of 1807, with the exception of the Danish frigate Fridericksværn, were certainly not the ancient museum pieces the British often captured in combat from the French or Spanish.
Therefore, Danish sail plans are often interesting and instructive, as for example in depicting the angles of a warship's various masts, such as are shown on Hohlenberg's sail plans of Rota and Lille Belt.
