 Huston v. Coho Electric (9/27/96), 923 P 2d 818
On February 10, 1992, Huston filed an affidavit of readiness for hearing asserting he was prepared for a hearing to resolve the issues raised in the August 21, 1991, application for adjustment.
Huston filed this affidavit of readiness about five months after Coho denied his August 21, 1991, application, and nearly three years after the Board in March 1989 ordered that his 1988 affidavit of readiness "will be rendered inoperative." A hearing on Huston's August 21, 1991, application was held June 19, 1992.
When Huston suffered his injuries, subsection 110(c) provided in relevant part: If a claim is controverted by the employer and the employee does not request a hearing for a period of two years following the date of controversion, the claim is denied.

Huston started in the family business relatively late -- he was already thirty-three when he played "Barman 2" in Leaving Las Vegas -- and since then has shown up in only sixteen movies and one notable TV guest-starring role.
And then he was, which meant that either it was a bad performance on his part, telegraphing his guilt, or that it was bad casting to make Danny Huston seem, even briefly, like he was on the up and up.
We have so unshakeably identified Danny Huston with shady ulterior motives, in fact, that even when he's playing a good guy, we suspect him.

Huston crafted a taut, no-nonsense screenplay that was more faithful to the novel than the previous two adaptations, and eagerly accepted High Sierra star Humphrey Bogart as his leading man (after George Raft turned the part down).
Huston's next MGM film, The Red Badge of Courage (1951), faithfully adapted from Stephen Crane's harrowing Civil War novel, flopped miserably upon initial release but has since come to be recognized as one of Huston's best films.
Huston directed and took a cameo role in The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (1972), a muddled revisionist Western, and the forgettable The Mackintosh Man (1973).

As son of John and brother of actress Anjelica, Danny Huston grew up on film sets watching his legendary father, director of film classics such as The Treasure of Sierra Madre and The Maltese Falcon, brand film with a distinctiveness as stoutly individual as his personality.
Huston, born in Rome and raised Ireland, shone earlier this year in the little-seen Ivans xtc as a Hollywood agent consumed by drugs and alcohol.
Exuding the throaty charm and old-soul mentality of a man navigating his way through the choppy waters of modern day Hollywood, the casually dressed Huston and I conversed pool-side at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica.

Huston said he hopes to build off of the success of this year's screening series and organize the first-ever Puerto Vallarta film festival in 2004.

Danny seems to work mostly on charm, although Huston has a weirdly static slouch of a screen presence, in which he moseys up next to his costars, grins stupidly at them, and waits for them to stop talking so he can speak his lines.
Danny pushes on, having dropped the pretense of working for the Pilager campaign in favor of solving the mystery of the dead body that Dickie hooked while shooting his ad.
But Huston is simply no lead actor of any skill, and the murder mystery that eventually takes up the second half of the movie makes the viewer wish for the more enjoyable political satire of the first.

Nicole Kidman (in one of her better performances of recent memory) stars as Anna, a woman who continues to mourn the loss of her beloved husband Sean, even ten years after his death by heart attack.
She is barely in the film and has no scenes of any real impact or importance -- I think critics are just over-praising her because of who she is and because of how rarely she graces a film with her presence.

But what he doesn't know is that his stooge (the complex, understated Danny Huston from "21 Grams" and "ivans xtc.") is a disgraced, disenchanted and depressed ex-loose-cannon newspaper reporter.
Huston's performance provides the most compellingly human element of the story as his numb, dejected journalist's soul is slowly reinvigorated.
As with all John Sayles pictures, "Silver City" also captures the unique flavor of its locale with native humor (wondering if the dead man is from Boulder, cop asks coroner "You check his stomach for granola?") and intertwined subplots about cattle ranching, mining waste and upscale suburban expansion.
