		In the late 1960s, the group experienced limited success as a fiery British blues band, consisting of acclaimed guitarists Peter Green, Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bass guitarist John McVie (the latter two providing the bandâs name).
		In mid 1968, Fleetwood Mac were joined by 18-year old guitarist and songwriter Danny Kirwan.
		Kirwan and Welch's tenures overlapped by two albums, but eventually Kirwan's erratic behavior on tour led to his dismissal in late 1972.
