Danny the Street - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Danny the Street is a fictional character in the DC Universe.
Likewise, it is difficult to tell just how old Danny is. In a clever pun, his personality is based, at least partially, on the drag performer Danny La Rue[1].
Danny first came in contact with the Doom Patrol when he and his residents were attacked by Darren Jones and the Men From N.O.W.H.E.R.E. Jones' obsession with normalcy, and with enforcing his own "50s sit-com" worldview made Danny an obvious target.

Danny La Rue - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Danny La Rue was born on July 26, 1917 (although his official birth year is usually given as 1927) as Daniel Patrick Carroll in County Cork, Republic of Ireland.
For most of his career, Danny implied that beneath his costume he was a "normal" heterosexual man. Unlike many drag performers, he would always perform parts of his show in men's clothes, and was often seen out of costume on television.
Danny La Rue was the inspiration for the character Danny the Street — a sentient, transvestite street — in Grant Morrison's comic book Doom Patrol.
