However, Takenouchi Ryu was the core of Jujitsu Ryu, from which all Jujitsu sprang from.
Ryu was founded in 1532 and borrowed substantially from Sumo.
During the American translation of the Japanes language over the years, the word Kodenkan Danzan Ryu, was lost and the word Se Keino Ryu, was found.

I know a fl belts in Danzan ryu, and i trained with 2 of them, now no bragging but im not even a good whitebelt in bjj, and i finished both of them without very much effort.
The techniques are okay in DanZan, but they are more self defence oriented, although quite a few DanZan people also compete/train in Judo.
Danzen Ryu was actually one of the first styles of JJ to make its way to the continental US via Hawaii.
