  Danzig Feature Interview At Blistering.com
Danzig soon shifted his creative talents to his new act Samhain, where he advanced beyond the thrash-based punk mold toward a far darker and experimental sound that was more gothic- and metal-influenced.
Among Verotik’s busy release slate, Danzig has finally scheduled the arrivals of two projects that have long been in the works, the first being his follow-up to 1992’s "Black Aria." The album "Black Aria II" is conceptually based on Lilith, the first wife of Adam.
Danzig's second planned release this year is the long-talked-about compilation "Lost Tracks Of Danzig," which contains a host of previously unreleased material from his early beginnings to the present.

 Prindle Record Reviews - Danzig
It's too stiff, basic, and plain an album for me to call it anything close to a masterpiece....There are definitely signs of greatness, of what's yet to come, but all of these songs had the potential to be more raw, in-your-face, ballsy, and fleshed-out tunes...however, the album fell short.
To be fair--I listened to the album again to make sure I didn't miss anything (and so I could refresh myself with the less memorable songs in the process!) The first half of the album is indeed contagious, and "Not Of This World," and "Am I Demon" are definitely etched in my head now.
I love every Danzig album and am only slightly amused by people who get their panties in a bunch over a change in tempo; if you didn't see this change coming you were fooling yourself.

 Danzig Album Reviews
Danzig himself – fully embraces the Southern Gothic sensibilities and skewed romanticism that were already present – but usually diluted – on the first two albums.
A downside of this explorative direction is the fact that the album’s not as instantly catchy, and that there’s the obligatory art song (basically a five-minute dirge that embodies “superfluity”), but overall, this might be the most rewarding Danzig album, and I realized that only this week.
Danzig – who wanted to evolve in a hi-tech, industrial-based direction already hinted at during 4p (the machine-like textures of “Cantspeak” and the mechanical “Sadistikal”) – on the one hand, and Christ and Von on the other hand, who wanted to continue in the retro-hard rock vein.

Written entirely by Glenn Danzig, the album is considered to be his finest by many longtime fans--such classics as "Twist of Cain," "Not of this World," "She Rides," and "Am I Demon" were all included.
It was also the first Danzig album to be produced entirely by the group's singer/songwriter/leader Glenn Danzig, and would prove to be the last album to include original drummer Chuck Biscuits.
DANZIG III also proved to be one of the band's last album to stick to the group's original musical direction.

The album had much better sound quality than the Misfits albums had which is very good because it showcases Glenn's vocal talent much more clearly.
She Rides is one of the slowest on the album as the longest at over five minutes.
Mother is one of Danzig's best with the opening slow chords, and the verses slowly building up to the chorus, which is the best on the album in my opinion.

411mania.com: Music - Danzig - The Lost Tracks of Danzig Review
Here’s my history with Danzig… from late ’88 through mid ‘89, three releases came out that remain to this day favorites, and blew wide open for me the gates of my musical tastes, which were already broadening at the time.
Danzig was stark fl and white in a number of those early videos, sounding like the evil cousin of Elvis and Jim Morrison.
I will say that since then, I’ve followed Danzig the band from album to album, nearly all the way up to this point (the only release I don’t have is 2004’s Circle of Snakes, which I’d been quite interested in, being a Prong fan, and knowing Tommy Victor played guitar on that one).

Punknews.org | Glenn Danzig - Black Aria II
Remember that Danzig has founded his career on experimentation with new styles and sounds.
Even back in his Samhain days, Danzig was already flirting with Black Aria-type sounds in Unholy Passion’s “Misery Tomb.” Maybe, as he did with Samhain, Glenn Danzig will incorporate the best elements of his experimentation into his trademark sound and create his best album yet.
Let's hope the next Danzig album is haunting and brutal sort of in the same way as Samhain......only new.

In 1996, Danzig 5: Blackacidevil (a play on the phrase "Black as a Devil"), was released, surprising many with its heavy emphasis on industrial rock.
Most Danzig fans were disappointed with the album, presumably due to the drastic departure from the sound of the first four releases.
In November of 1999 Danzig 6:66 Satan's Child was released, with mixed reactions from fans and critics.

Danzig has made quite a career for himself, and after being in the successful Misfits and the dark outfit Samhain, Danzig unleashed his solo career with a group named after him.
Danzig's first three albums are very impressive, and when he released DANZIG 4, Danzig was going through quite a change from the last album.
DANZIG 4 uncoils some of the tightest music Danzig has made, and guitarist John Christ, bassist Eerie Von, and drummer Chuck Biscuits certainly went out with a bang on this album.

Yessir, Danzig really brought in a whole sleeve of influences for this album, such as whatever his influences were on the previous three albums, and nothing more.
Ok, so I'm being unfair, as this album was a small step away from the tried-and-true formula of the first three Danzig albums, mainly thanks to smacking various buttons in the studio rather than any real musical exploration.
Danzig must've found a reason, since the album that followed this had a huge change in style and was godawful.

Danzig, as a songwriter has always impressed me, the complex of his lyrics are nothing spectacular, but the themes are unexplored by other artists.
Many of the themes of this album can be open to different interpretations, that’s what’s make, the themes of the album great.
