Daredevil is a grizzled vigilante who thinks nothing of beating the stuffing out of a evildoer - if Charles Bronson's Death Wish character had been a superhero, he would've been Daredevil.
Daredevil is far more conflicted than Spider-Man ever was, going so far as to visit a priest regularly for absolution (more often than not, though, he seems to just get a speech from the man).
Daredevil does all of his crime-busting at night (after his alter-ego has spent the day working as a lawyer, natch), so we're treated to a dank and rainy view of New York City.

 Daredevil On Film
Given the present enthusiasm in the film world for comic book heroes, it was clear that pretty soon someone would get round to making a film of Daredevil.
The central theme of the film deals with Matt Murdock's love for Electra, who, though she loves the lawyer, Matt Murdock, believes that his alter- ego, Daredevil, killed her father (of course, he didn't really).
The film was not very successful at the box office and with 'Spider-Man 3' and a new Fantastic Four film in the pipeline (to say nothing of the X-Men and Batman from DC), DD might suffer the same fate of marginalization on the big screen as happened in the comic book itself.

In terms of release dates, then, this is the perfect time to release Daredevil, with the studios hoping to catch some of that superhero-hungry cash, before the big guns come out for the summer – the publicity campaign has been pretty intensive up to now and shows no signs of abating.
As with Spider-Man, the film follows the pattern of giving you the ‘Origin Story’ (these stories have almost mythic status within Marvel and film-makers mess them up at their peril) first and then moving swiftly into a plot, of sorts.
In short, the film disappoints on almost every level, though if you lower your expectations you might get a few laughs out of how bad it is. It does have its moments, but unfortunately they’re few and far between.

Daredevil’s super hero flaw is that he’s blind, but compensating is his super power, an extra sensitive hearing that, like a bat, enables him to see.
