DAREN Ganga struck a century as West Indies played out a draw against Kenya in a four-day tour match yesterday after a day had been lost to rain.
Ganga and Chris Gayle resumed the West Indies first innings at 117 for no wicket in reply to Kenya's 290 after heavy rains had washed out play on Saturday, making the draw virtually inevitable.
"Ganga and Gayle confirmed their outstanding opening partnership which started in Zimbabwe, which I must say is good for the future of Windies cricket," West Indies manager Ricky Skerritt said.

Ganga said the "guys took a stance as a team" and explained that a divide-and-conquer approach appeared to have broken that resolve.
Only three players ­ captain Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Daren Powell and newly-recruited Windies Under-19 wicketkeeper Dinesh Ramdin ­ from the original squad of 13 invited on June 17, signed their letter of invitation and returned them to the WICB by the deadline of June 21.

"I, Daren Ganga, wish to advise that the statements attributed to me in a report on the Cricinfo website earlier today about my fellow Trinidadian and West Indian colleague Brian Lara were not only inaccurate but mischievous," Ganga said in the release.
Ganga said the media report came at a time when West Indies cricket is at a low and it was unfortunate that "misinterpretations and misstatements" had to be published.
