	Darkstars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Darkstars are a fictional intergalactic squadron of cosmic cops that appeared in DC Comics during the 90's.
		Many Darkstars were killed or lost their battlesuits in combat against Grayven, son of Darkseid, on the planet Rann.
		Darkstars were often surgically altered to gain instant maser control, rather than the split-second delay in reaction time when wearing the less powerful deputy version of the exo-mantle.

		Imagine Rann being the starting point to a new type of police force, using the Darkstars as their model, they create a new Knights of the Galaxy (hell, if someone can bring OMAC to the present, why not the Knights of the Galaxy).

		Well, originally the series was about Ferrin Colos, a Darkstar who was assigned to earth (kinda like a Grenn Lantern), and the people he picked as his "deputies".
		Oh, by the way, the people who created the Darkstars were the Controllers, who are the same race as the Guardians, but who chose to take a more proactive and no-tolerance stance to crime and chaos in the universe.
		It was DC's marketing of "Darkstars" that killed the title for me. I remember them saying it would be "the GL Corps done right!" or some such nonsense.

		Note: If this is some sort of domestic blindness on my part, which it could be, and resilient fighters can only remove one piece of ordnance a turn, then this would mean that subsequent non-fighter ordnance would ignore the Eldar fighter entirely (or SM TH for that matter).

		I think that at one time John Stewart and Donna Troy were Darkstars.
		I collected some of the comics but I can't remember if the Darkstars were disbanded or are still out there policing the galaxy.

		I haven't seen the show for a while, but I think when Zell summoned a dove from the physical plane into the alternate plane, it created an opening to escape.
