Walter Schwarz left Germany, renamed himself Michael Evenarí and became an internationally recognized scientist at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, particularly in the research of the biology and agriculture of the desert.
One of the aims of the Evenarí Forum is to resume these aims with the university and with Israel in general.
In 2002 the Evenarí Forum fused with the “Colloquium for the History and Culture of the Jews” at the TUD, and thus bundled the Jewish-Israel activities of the university.

In addition to becoming co-organizers of the German Cassini protests, the Darmstadt activists took up again the issue which led to the foundation of most German peace groups in the 1980s: the madness of nuclear deterrence.
In December, shortly after receiving the group's letter, Peter Benz, the Mayor of Darmstadt, had agreed to discuss the issue with the head of the environmental department of the Town Government, Daniela Wagner (from the Green party) and with Martin Kalinowski and a member of the peace group.
The motion requests the Town Government to declare Darmstadt a Nuclear Weapons Free Zone, to indicate this clearly (whatever that means), and to demand that nuclear weapons are neither deployed on nor transported through municipal territory.
