		Thomas Rylan Darnall was born in Clark County, Kentucky on September 1, 1828.
		Darnall reported that not only was the ore washing machine causing difficulties, but also that the quality of the ore was becoming increasingly poorer.
		Darnall also concluded that mining speculation in Baja California was extremely unprofitable, and by 1859 he had left both the mine and San Diego.
