	The Pinky Count
		If you want to see it described as opposed to just reading a description, Darwin Ortiz goes over it on his At the Card Table video (A-1 Multimedia).
		Ortiz manages to pinky count 20 cards in 2 seconds while talking, etc. So if I need to get a break under 20 cards, is it possible to do it very fast while talking?
		As you said, Darwin Ortiz has no problem with it, and he doesn't possess any super-human powers other than lots of practicing.

	Poker Chips and Playing Cards :: View topic - Darwin Ortiz, the best?
		Darwin Ortiz does this as a false cut, and it looks VERY convincing when done smooth.
		I'm not too sure about the variation the up-the-ladder cut Ortiz does in the video but in "Darwin Ortiz At The Card Table", he teaches a variation of the cut that he says was taught to him by a cardshark.
		There is something else to consider that someone mentioned about, I believe it was Herb Zarrow, that in terms of skill you wouldn't rank him very high, but in terms of his teaching ability he was one of the best and so his material is a great source from which to learn.
