The early beginnings of Head Automatica has always been in frontman Daryl Palumbo's head as something he always knew he was going to get done.

As much as the album is a product of the music Palumbo has listened to his whole life, its also result of what hes listened to for the last 13 years in Glassjaw.
Palumbo had been writing the songs on Head Automatica for years, but it wasnt until Glassjaw finished the 2002 Vans Warped Tour (after a grueling 18-month trek to support the Grammy-nominated Worship And Tribute) that he had the opportunity to make Head Automatica a reality.

Recapping it for the newcomers, Head Automatica is the brainchild of Daryl Palumbo (pictured in the upper right) who has two hands, and possible three, in every song that you’ll hear on the record.
Total count was three guitarists (including Daryl), a bassist, drummer and this dude fiddling with levers behind some equipment.
With Daryl on guitar, the first 'song' is a two minute heavy instrumental bit that left me thinking I was going to hear a Glassjaw/Mars Volta jam indierock band until song two, Brooklyn is Burning.
