		Bombardier's de Havilland Dash 8 has proven to be a popular player in the regional turboprop airliner market.
		De Havilland Canada began development of the Dash 8 in the late 1970s in response to what it saw as a considerable market demand for a new generation 30 to 40 seat commuter airliner.
		In 1998 that was changed again to Dash 8 Q200 when a new interior was introduced.

		Yeah, I know, a Dash 8 does ship with Flight Simulator as standard, but it is an AI plane and although there are plenty of hacks and panels available to make it flyable, it isn't on the same planet as the PSS design.
		The Dash 8 is a pilot's aircraft, which is just as well, given some of the places it has to get in and out of, so it is relatively maneuverable, but you do have to watch out for lag on engine spool up.
		On a real Dash 8 you can tell if AUX or the NAV radio is selected just by looking at the state of the switch, but in the sim, just about the only way of knowing is to look at the EHSI in the Q300, which can be puzzling until you work it out.

		Distinguishing features of the Dash 8 design are the large T-tail intended to keep the tail free of propwash during takeoff, a very high aspect ratio wing, the elongated engine nacelles also holding the rearward-folding landing gear and the pointed nose profile.
		The Dash 8 was introduced at a particularly advantageous time; most airlines were in the process of adding new aircraft to their fleet as the airline industry expanded greatly in the 1980s.
		The resulting ATR 42 was even less expensive than the Dash 8, but de Havilland Canada responded with newer models to close the gap.

		The GE Dash 8-32BWH, also known as the B32-8WH or P32-8WH, is a modern diesel-electric locomotive used by Amtrak to pull passenger trains.
		The first Dash 8 to complete overhaul was number 507, which received "Phase V" paint.
		Two of the locomotives (501 and 502) were purchased by the California Department of Transportation and they were renumbered 2051 and 2052, and received the Amtrak California paint sceme.
