 An Introduction to Data Mining
Data mining, the extraction of hidden predictive information from large databases, is a powerful new technology with great potential to help companies focus on the most important information in their data warehouses.
Data mining techniques can be implemented rapidly on existing software and hardware platforms to enhance the value of existing information resources, and can be integrated with new products and systems as they are brought on-line.
This evolution began when business data was first stored on computers, continued with improvements in data access, and more recently, generated technologies that allow users to navigate through their data in real time.

This section discusses general format of business letters, shows you the four common business-letter formats, and discusses some basic guidelines for writing style in business letters.
Remember that when business people open a letter, their first concern is to know what the letter is about, what its purpose is, and why they must spend their time reading it.
Ineffective conclusions to business letters often end with rather limp, noncommittal statements such as "Hope to hear from you soon" or "Let me know if I can be of any further assistance." Instead, or in addition, specify the action the recipient should take and the schedule for that action.

In the current RSS world, the recipe "data" is contrained to being one large text blog, making it not very useful to a client application that is geared towards rich display and manipulation of recipie information.
The data types supported today cover 90% of use cases, and since most of the code for serializaton/deserialization is available and in production, it would be a quick hack to get these refactored into RSS parsers.
What we need is a simple data model that can expand the use of RSS into application arenas, enabling applications to output RSS with object data, and clients and other applications to easily and predictably include that data.
