 sociology - Star Wars
Star Wars stresses the self-destructive nature of anger and hate, summed up in Yoda's words ("Fear is the path to the dark side: fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering"), as well as placing one's feelings for certain people aside.
The galactic setting of Star Wars is never given a name and is called simply "the galaxy." Since the characters never venture beyond the galaxy and the power of both the Republic and the Empire ends at its borders, the galaxy can be said to serve as a microcosm of both Earth and a country.
Star Wars was also a daily newspaper comic strip from 1979 to 1984, written for the bulk of its run by Archie Goodwin and drawn by Al Williamson.

Filmtracks: Star Wars: A New Hope (John Williams)
With Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Superman revealed to audiences within a year's time, Williams cemented thematic orchestral works as the must-have for studios of Hollywood's Bronze Age (largely consisting of the 1980's in the last years of the pre-digital era).
This is not to say, however, that bold statements of theme in Star Wars aren't worthy of their place in history; the "Throne Room" cue alone, with its ultra-heroic brass of truly epic proportions, is a piece that remains awe-inspiring decades later, especially when heard in live concert quality.
In this case, the 33 minutes from Star Wars was recorded in December of 1977 and was released on LP record at that time.

 Star Wars at AllExperts
Star Wars is a science fantasy saga and fictional universe created by writer/producer/director George Lucas during the 1970s.
Star Wars melds science with supernatural elements that strongly relate to epic stories and fairy tales (for example, Magic, Knights, Witches, Princesses and 'whimsical' alien races such as Ewoks and Wisties).
For his part, Lucas claimed in a segment filmed for the THX-remastered VHS release of the original trilogy that the original Star Wars story was intended as a single film but was later split into three because the story was too long to be told in a single film.

The Shawkenese universe destroyer was designed to cause a chain reaction that would destroy all star systems in the existing universe, with the purpose of eventually triggering a new Big Bang to begin the universe again.
It is probable that the timespan between the Big Bang and the formation of the Galaxy was less than one billion years, as the similar Milky Way galaxy is nearly as old as the universe itself.
Still, the date of the formation of the Galaxy is not known with sufficient precision.

Filmtracks: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (John Williams)
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back: (John Williams) With John Williams having firmly established himself as "the maestro" with his efforts of the late 1970's, The Empire Strikes Back came at the heart of Williams most product time of his career.
Following Star Wars was no easy task; the film had set all world box office records and the LP record album had sold over 4 million copies...
The precision of application for each theme in Star Wars: A New Hope is really what propelled the structural success of that score (outside of the raw emotion of the "force theme" during the binary sunset and burning homestead cues).

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace: (John Williams) With millions of copies of the original, 1999 album, sold after Sony paid countless millions for the rights to release it, this expanded, 2-CD "ultimate edition" of The Phantom Menace hits the shelves sooner than expected.
But for Star Wars and John Williams enthusiasts, you might find the logic behind the album to be a bit confusing and you'll wonder why there are still ten or so minutes of music entirely missing (music that was recorded, but not used in the film).
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace: (John Williams) In Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, John Williams makes a successful return to the Star Wars saga with a score that works brilliantly as Star Wars music while reflecting recent changes in his style.

Retcon - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki
When George Lucas re-edited the original Star Wars trilogy, he made changes directly to the source material, rather than introduce new source material that contradicted the contents of previous material.
It was established in the EU that Raith Sienar gave Tarkin the designs for the Death Star, and that Bevel Lemelisk developed the Superlaser; after Episode II revealed that the Geonosians gave the plans to Tyranus/Sidious, it was retconned that the Geonosians developed the details based on outlines given to them by Sienar and Lemelisk.
The BBY system used in many sources to represent dates in the Star Wars timeline is itself a retcon.
