I think these are Chaffinch, Linnet, and Jackdaw (perched and silhouetted in flight), but I'd appreciate confirmation or correction.
The flying silhouette photo was taken in Aberystwyth just before full dark when about 200 of these birds were circling the UW campus dorm I was staying in, looking for a roost spot.
Apart from the jizz (head size/body size ratio), circumstantially, it is on a wall near a rubbish bin in a town - classic juv Jackdaw.

 BirdForum - Mystery Corvid
It landed on the lawn of the point garden and was clearly not a chough.
There were odd patches of grey showing on the bird and I started to worry what Daurian Jackdaw might look like, having heard the name but never seen a description.
I don't think that this has been given much favour and all still remain in Corvus but this does highlight the fact that these two groups have diverged and represent to branches of the main group of thirty odd species within the remainder of the genus Corvus.

This was a travel day -- our lunch stop produced Forest Wagtail and Daurian Redstart; when we arrived at Lake Khanka about 6:30 p.m.

 Beidaihe 1997
As we watched the bunting the first of two Chinese endemics to be found here appeared in the base of the same tree, a Chinese Hill Warbler - somewhat resembling a large heavy prinia.
As we moved on we had up to eight Olive-backed Pipits feeding on the woodland floor and a handsome male Yellow-throated Bunting in grass close to the pathway.
We found a pair of Daurian Redstarts collecting nesting material and taking it to a nearby building - the male was truly stunning.

During the day we meet Imperial Eagle, Himalayan Griffon, Pied Wheatear, Mongolian Pipit, Daurian Jackdaw and the flbilled subspecies “longipennis” of the Common Tern.
This species occurs more or less south of the area inhabited by Daurian Pika in semi-desert environments.

A flock of over 100 very pale looking Jackdaws flew high over the Summer Palace.
I am not sure the current taxonomic status of the Daurian Jackdaw, or whether hybrid forms exists between this and the Common Jackdaw.
Certainly observed in the Forbidden City and Badaling.
