The group also was trying to encourage others to call Dave Camp to tell him to vote "no" on the amendment, which defines marriage between one man and one woman.
Camp spokesman Sage Eastman said before the vote that Camp supported the amendment as a way of quantifying and clarifying the definition of marriage.
