Dave Clarke - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dave Clarke is a Brighton born Techno Producer and DJ, often given the status The Baron of Techno.
Clarke's style is both sinister and energizing, and his live sets are rarely a disappointment.
Clarke was careful to warn young clubbers of their guinea-pig adventure with ecstacy in an interview in 2001, saying that if you need to take pills to make your night, it must mean that the music being played is lacking in quality.

Clarke was advised by his school careers office to become a software engineer but his parents had split and family life was unbearable so, at 16, he ran away from home.

Despite leaving the club to travel the world, Dave returned and was a key part of the treble winning Mens B team in 2000-2001.
Dave was recognised at almost every game by the opposition and quickly singled out as a danger man. It was not that he was the most prolific shooter or a dominant inside presence but more due to his ability to get under peoples skin and completely put them off their game.
Although never officially involved with the committee, Dave could always be depended on to give help and advice from his experiences with other clubs and could be counted on if something had be done.

All but one of Soma's staff (including Dave himself) came to the company with no formal training relating to their job, and much of what they know now can be put down to self–schooling and trial and error.
