David D. Freudenthal (born October 12, 1950) is the governor of the U.S. state of Wyoming.
Freudenthal was born in Thermopolis, Wyoming and graduated from Amherst College in 1973.
Freudenthal became governor in January 2003 after defeating his Republican opponent Eli Bebout in a close 50%-48% vote in the election of 2002.

Freudenthal commended Aus and her staff for working hard to amend forest plans throughout the region to include direction for grizzly bear habitat conservation -- a key component of any plan to remove protection.
