Dave Pegg, born on 2 November 1947 in Birmingham, England, is a bassist.
Pegg also played double bass for a short while with Birmingham-based folk ensemble The Ian Campbell Folk Group.
Until recently it was organised by Pegg and his former wife Christine: since their divorce, the band as a whole organises the festival, now called Fairport's Cropredy Convention.

Dave was responsible, during this lengthy career with Tull, for re-forming the Fairports, first through their annual get-together at the Cropredy Folk Festival which he and his wife Christine still promote and organise, and then with new records made in Dave's own Woodworms Studio.
Having bid farewell to Tull boys, Dave began to enjoy a little more time off but was soon succumbing to the pleasures and pains of more FC tours and recordings, as well as continuing to put together the growing and demanding Cropredy event.
