  David Hinton
David Hinton is a director of arts documentaries and performance films.
Between 2003 and 2005 David Hinton travelled 2,500 nautical miles on three expeditions aboard the schooner Nooderlicht filming artists, scientists and educators exploring the pristine environment of the High Arctic as part of the Cape Farewell project.
Witness the artists' response to their surroundings - from silent admiration at the drama of the landscape to awestruck wonder as a yet another massive glacier disintegrates into the sea.

 David
David's success provided the basis for Saul's and the people's further trust of him, and, significantly, for Jonathan -- who was a successful warrior in his own right (13:3; 14:1-15) -- to declare his loyalty to David, as well, even to the point of giving David his armor (18:1-5).
David's position was such that Achish would have taken him into battle against Israel and Saul himself had he not been overruled by the rest of the Philistine coalition, due to their suspicions concerning David's loyalties (28:1-2; 29:1-11).
David's wife Michal was embarrassed by his vigorous celebrations, and she ended up barren because of it (6:16, 20-23), which effectively eliminated the possibility of a descendant of Saul having any hereditary claim to David's throne.

David - No, Laura was only written out, not because she wasn't working, but because the show was beginning to get older and we were having to get rid of characters every year because it was getting to expensive.
David - No she didn't save the show from cancellation, we were doing ok. I always planned her, because it was technically a spin off from Dallas everybody expected there to be a JR so I wanted to make sure there wasn't a JR.
David - My initial thought was that it would be scenes of a marriage times four, but it became a dramatic exploration of the way people related in the post sexual revolution world and how they kept their marriages together if they could, what the relationships meant to them.

 David Ackroyd ’62
Actor David Ackroyd '62 began his career at the Yale Repertory Theatre and, despite nearly two decades of having leading-man status in television and movies, he knows he made the right decision a few years ago when he left Hollywood to return to the stage.
An ROTC student at Bucknell, Ackroyd got his start in community theatre when he was stationed in Arizona in the early 1960s.
His experience in Moscow prompted Ackroyd in 1998 to use a William and Eva Fox Foundation Fellowship to study cutting-edge European theatre in Poland, Germany, France, and the Czech Republic.

Knots Landing - TWoP Forums   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-26)
Dark-haired David Ackroyd was the first actor to play Gary Ewing, and was only in that one episode.
From what I've heard (which, admittedly, wasn't much), David Ackroyd (spelling?) simply didn't want to be tied down to a regular part, so when they decided to green-light the Knots Landing series, they recast Gary.
What got really weird was when David Ackroyd (why does that spelling look wrong to me??) guest-starred on Knots Landing later on as a man who does some repairs on Val and Gary's house (and flirts with "Widow Fairgate").

It Just Catches: review on TheaterMania.com
At the start of this short, two-act piece, a bearded Hemingway stand-in (David Ackroyd, who could easily win Key West's annual Hemingway lookalike contest) sidles up to the baby grand that Riccardo Hernandez has placed on his economical set.
The impression of boxing fan Hemingway as a lightweight sets in with the first hunk of material drawn from his only play, The Fifth Column, in which a Hemingway-like man (Ackroyd) and a Martha Gellhorn-like woman (Ann Crumb) discuss how thrilling their love life would be were they somewhere other than Madrid.
David Ackroyd represents Hemingway and his fictional stand-ins manfully, meaning with some uncertainty, while Ann Crumb captures the right dulled gleam in the eyes of the daunted women she plays.

Comprised of five scenes from such stories as "Cat in the Rain," "A Pursuit Race" and a chapter of the short novel "To Have and Have Not," "It Just Catches" features a Hemingway look-alike, well-played by a white-bearded David Ackroyd, either ignoring, confronting or seducing a variety of comely women.
If anything, the play goes to show that, after four wives and who knows how many lovers, Hemingway was basically clueless when it came to the opposite sex.
