David Brabham (born 5 September 1965 in Wimbledon, London, England) is an Australian Formula One driver who raced for the Brabham and Simtek teams.
David joined the Tom Walkinshaw Racing Jaguar team in 1991 and also in that year won the Spa 24 Hours for Nissan.
David returned to Formula One in 1994 with the under-funded Simtek team who suffered the blow of the death of Roland Ratzenberger whilst in qualifying for the San Marino Grand Prix.

Brabham is an endurance race veteran, recently claiming second place for Bentley in the Le Mans 24-hour event, and will line up for his third crack at Bathurst's legendary Mount Panorama track.
Brabham replaces Tony Ricciardello in the SHR line-up for the endurance rounds.

Brabham was involved in the design of the Coopers and in 1961 he and Ron Tauranac, an engineer from Australia who was working at the Jack Brabham Motors garage and filling station in Chessington, established Motor Racing Developments Ltd. and began building a Formula Junior car in a shed in Esher.
Brabham himself did fewer races, leaving Hulme to partner Gurney on some occasions and the year ended with Gurney finishing second in the US and Mexican GPs.
Herbie Blash, a longtime Brabham manager, returned and Modena was joined by Swiss Gregor Foitek although he was soon replaced by David Brabham, son of the team's founder, the now Sir Jack Brabham.

David is currently driving LeMans-type sports cars for the Panoz team, and coming into the Las Vegas event - the final race of the season - he was leading in the points for the championship.
Unfortunately, the car experienced a flat tire during a stint by his co-driver near the end of the race and David was unable to make up enough time to clinch the championship (although Panoz did win the manufacturers' championship, to the great satisfaction of team-owner Don Panoz).

David Brabham brought his Prodrive/Care Racing Ferrari home to a fourth place GTS class finish at Trois-Rivieres, despite a day of general misfortune for the two-car team.
However, having run in third position in class for some time, Brabham felt an abnormal vibration at the rear of the car which caused him to make a precautionary pit-stop.
The 'problem' was discovered to have been caused by an unfortunate pit crew error, although a left rear brake disc rotor was changed as a safety measure, costing the crew valuable track position.
