David Ernest Oldfield (born 1958), Australian politician, is a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council.
He and Ettridge, known as "the two Davids," were seen as the brains behind Hanson's populist rhetoric.
Oldfield won a seat in the New South Wales Legislative Council at the March 1999 state elections, but he was expelled from One Nation by Hanson in 2000 and founded a separate party of which he is president, the One Nation NSW Political Party.

Quite simply put David your involvement with One Nation will always be recorded by history as another dark and questionable chapter in your life - and it did not take my book to pin point some of these aspects....
The reply from Ettridge about Pauline's control of the National executive is untrue and obviously sour grapes of a person and group whom could'nt get their own way.
Whilst Ettridge and Oldfield were involved in One Nation they were CCA's "best friends" so to speak, but now with them gone I feel that many of the CCA's membership will revert back to One Nation and I believe we should at least be united in the attack against the Major parties.

I have just had the privilege to read the book written by David Ettridge describing his trial, conviction and incarceration along with Pauline Hanson.
The book is called 'Consider Your Verdict' and makes for interesting reading as David presents graphic account of the events leading up to and during the trial of the One Nation founders, in the variety of court cases heard against them during 2000 - 2003.
It was the biased, politically-attached media which drove Pauline Hanson and David Ettridge into the clutches of a corrupt politico-judicial structure and then failed to report any truth in the various trial proceedings.

Hanson, an endorsed Liberal Party candidate at the 1996 federal election, had been expelled from the party shortly before the elections due to comments against what she saw as "race-based welfare," made to a newspaper in her home town of Ipswich, Queensland.
At the 1998 federal election, Hanson lost her seat to a Liberal candidate, but One Nation succeeded in electing Heather Hill as a Senator for Queensland, only to see a successful Constitutional challenge on Hill's eligibility to run on the basis that she did not hold Australian citizenship.
