Multiple Maniacs is a 1970 film by Baltimore, Maryland, USA filmmaker John Waters starring Divine, Mary Vivian Pearce, David Lochary, Mink Stole, and Cookie Mueller.
David, herds people in off the street and as a finale to the show, Divine comes in and steals the patrons' wallets, killing one woman as a gesture of her seriousness.
Because the Manson "family" was apprehended during prinicipal photography of the film, the ending was changed at the last minute to have David realise he hadn't in fact committed the murders.

Lochary joined the so-called "Dreamland" stock company and his first-known role was as Dr. Coat Hanger in "Mondo Trasho" (1970).
David", Lochary acted as barker for Lady Divine's Cavalcade of Perversions and was kept in line by Divine, who threatens to turn him in for the then still-unsolved Tate killings (when the killings were solved in mid-filming, the ending had to be swiftly changed).
Lochary's last film was "Female Trouble" (1975) which, while not as well-known as "Pink Flamingos," is actually better.

The filming, like the subject matter, is crude, but shows hints of Waters's keen eye for visuals, as in Divine's first scene, when the colossal drag queen wallows nakedly, ample backside to the camera, delivering his/her lines into a makeup mirror.
Some scenes drag on a little longer than necessary, such as David and Bonnie lounging around in bed, or Cookie and Steve talking about riots but there are others, such as the opening in the circus tent, and the "rosary job" that more than make up for it.
Be sure to look and listen for Divine and Cookie flubbing their lines, Divine's wig almost falling off as he is being violated by Lobstora, and Mink Stole trying not to laugh as a male pedestrian walks by when she and Divine are discussing the murder of Mr.

Well, this only gets worse and the end result is a totally gross out battle, a disgusting party, a burning trailer, lesbian couples seeking children to adopt and so many insane events to mention.
The next film featured here is Female Trouble with Divine as Dawn Davenport, Cookie Muller, Edith Massey,Mink Stole, and the late David Lochary.
The premise is not as stomach churning as the PF however, it does have its revolting moments.
