 Interesting Arcadian - David M. Keeler
McIntosh's History of Wayne County, New York (1877) described the WAYNE STANDARD as, 'a paper of twenty-four columns and well-printed.
Copies of the WAYNE STANDARD for that year (1838) are full of Canadian news, and it is no secret that the editor, David M. Keeler, strongly sympathized with the 'patriots.' At Newark there was considerable excitement; a large and enthusiastic meeting was held in the old Methodist church in aid of the Patriot cause.
He remembered David Keeler as 'the biggest little man in the town, particularly upon 'training' days, he was Captain of the local militia company.

David M. McIntosh (R-Ind.), who has been leading an investigation into the "White House database" for more than a year, said the counsel's office had had the memo since September 1996, but that "somebody, a senior official at the White House, made a decision not to give it to us."
McIntosh described the memo as "the strongest evidence to date about the president's intention to use the database for political purposes." Using taxpayer-funded property for partisan activity is a violation of federal law.
McIntosh's subcommittee began investigating the White House database in mid-1996, long before the full Government Reform and Oversight Committee opened its current probe into fund-raising abuses during the 1996 campaign.

For some part of April and all of May, Mr McIntosh was hard at work for SqC working on the macintosh Open Transport plugin for Squeak.
Much of my other time in May was taken up looking at Open/GL on the macintosh and making it work correctly in Squeak when you run it in a microsoft browser.
