David Teniers III (10 July 1638 - 11 February 1685) was a Flemish painter who was born in Antwerp, the son of David Teniers the Younger.
Teniers III married married Anna Maria Bonnarens on 4 April 1671 and fathered five children.
Teniers III painted in the style of his more celebrated father.

David Teniers the Younger was born in Antwerp in 1610, the eldest son of David Teniers I the Older (1582-1649) of whom he was his pupil.
Teniers was also much copied, notably by his pupils such as David Ryckaert III, Thomas Apshoven, Gillis van Tilborch, Matthys van Helmont, François Duchatel, Abraham and David Teniers III, Gillis van Bolder or Jan de Froey.
Teniers’ paintings are now worth on the market between US $ 30,000 for small formats and over US $ 1 million for major works.

Baptised on 15 December 1610 in Antwerp where he studied under his father, the obscure David Teniers I. His earlier works also suggest the influence of Brouwer.
He became a master in the Antwerp guild in 1632/3 and was dean in 1645/6.
His eldest son, David Teniers III (1638-85), was also a painter.

After an apprenticeship to his brother Juliaan Teniers I [1572—1615], David Teniers I went to Rome where he was active for some time between 1600 and 1605 and was certainly in contact with Adam Elsheimer.
Several monumental paintings by David Teniers I survive, but he is best known for his small-scale cabinet pictures, both religious and secular, often set in a landscape.
