David Usher   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
David claims in interview after interview that this album is about hope and living in the moment, but when you first listen to it, you just cannot comprehend that.
David also has a very well done cover of the Manic Street Preacher's "If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next," and although it is by no means as good as the original, it is an excellent, somber way to end this gloomily-vibed album.
The show may have been rocked up, but David still performed a few of those gentle crooners; the only difference from the albums is that the songs became much more explosive in the end.

The GATE :: Concert Reviews - David Usher @ Ted's Wrecking Yard
Moist was the word at the hot and sweaty Ted's Wrecking Yard on Monday as David Usher took the stage for a free concert to promote his newest solo album, Morning Orbit.
Usher was jovial and just a bit psyched with some kind of funky energy because he ripped easily through each song without rushing anything along.
While Usher's groove and diversity has evolved into something that is quite unlike what Moist was before, I think Moist should not be abandoned by the side of the road considering that Usher's new style could help Moist evolve as well.

David Usher Sometimes the simplest things in life give you the most pleasure.
Unplugging the phone and refrigerator in his Montreal apartment, david usher and co-producer/engineer Paul Northfield, who produced Moist's triple-platinum sophomore album, Creature, laid down little songs on a hard disk recorder and tiny Mackie board in three 10-day sessions.
With the gear set up on a low table and Northfield literally engineering on the floor, David would simply ask whoever was in the house to be quiet while they did a vocal take, which was usually nailed in one or two passes.

David told me his decision to play at the Waterfront Festival was made due to their involvement in working so close with the community to bring people together for a fun night out.

Popjournalism :: Reviews :: David Usher, If God Had Curves
Usher's post-Moist career has been a steady diet of polished rock with hints of lush electronic layers, so fans hoping for a return to his old hard rockin’ ways will be disappointed with his latest disc of stripped down, soft rock.
Even highlights like opener "Long Goodbye" and first single "Love Will Save The Day," with its cheesy (but believable) sentiment, can't hide the fact that rest of the album is made up of mid-tempo fillers.
Which is too bad because Usher’s lyrical savvy is in full force and hearing about hope for humanity is more important than anything playing on the radio now.
