Dawlish in South Devon is a smallish town with many hidden surprises.
This is a ideal place to visit the beasch at dawlish warren is great, its neat, clean sea and sand, and dog are allowed.
I haven't been to Dawlish/Dawlish Warren for a few years but it was always somewhere we'd visit in summer on a Sunday afternoon for a stroll, or for our Geography field trips at school (apparently there was some good coastal erosion to be found there!).

The Inner warren has been part of a golf course for over 100 years, along with other links courses the regular cutting and lack of fertilisers has produced ideal conditions for botanic life, here including the previously mentioned Sand Crocus – the majority of the population is to found on fairways.
