Burning Daylight - PART II CHAPTER XIII
Daylight was made to feel that she suspected him, and he, remembering that he had seen a big rock quarry near Blair Park, stated offhand that he was thinking of buying it.
Daylight did not suggest anything, while he hung almost gleefully upon her actions in anticipation of what the fractious Bob was going to get.
Daylight found a big quarrel on his hands with a world that wouldn't let a man behave toward his stenographer after the way of all men and women.

Briana's Playroom - Bedtime Stories - Little Daylight
Little Daylight was as merry and bright all night as any baby in the world, but with the first sign of dawn she fell asleep, and slept like a little dormouse till dark.
When it shone again, faint and silver, on the horizon, the baby stirred weakly, and then they fed her gently; each night she grew a little better, and when the moon was near the full again, she was again a lively, rosy, lovely child.
Again he waited at the edge of the dell, and when the white moon was high in the heavens, once more he saw the glimmering in the distance, and once more the lovely maiden floated toward him.

There it is again today: the little clock drawing on the front page of the newspaper and the reminder to ''spring forward" tonight by turning your clocks forward one hour.
The idea of daylight saving seems to have originated with Benjamin Franklin, who noticed in Paris in 1784 that most people snoozed away hours on summer mornings after the sun was up yet complained about the cost of candles.
Even so, he can't talk about daylight saving without laughing, because the history is so wacky (when it was first proposed in England, the witty royal astronomer proposed that thermometers also be raised 10 degrees in the winter) and because even now, people have difficulty making sense of it.

Effective daylighting strategies, used with lighting controls and dimming systems, can reduce or eliminate the need for electric lights during the school day.
Daylighting efforts need to be designed thoughtfully to provide the appropriate amount of light and avoid glare, shadows, heat gain and other distractions.
Daylighting should be integrated with electric lighting in a comprehensive strategy.

 About Daylight Saving Time
Daylight Saving Time (or Summer Time as it is called in many countries) is a way of getting more out of the summer days by advancing the clocks by one hour during the summer.
Then, the sun will appear to rise one hour later in the morning when people are usually asleep anyway, at the benefit of one hour longer evenings when awake: The sunset and sunrise are one hour later than during normal time.
Daylight Saving Time is difficult to predict in future, many countries change the transition days/principles every year because of special happenings or conditions that has happened or will happen.

The announcement that Jordan would return to the practice of daylight savings by moving clocks ahead by 60 minutes as of March 31, took many people by surprise after it had last year decided to permanently dispense with the seasonal time change.
While some citizens aired their irritation at the government for “waffling over adopting daylight savings time, others were pleased that the move would help them save energy and enjoy a few hours more sleep, and still others shrugged their shoulders saying it would make little difference.
The reasoning behind the decision was that the studies found that summer daylight savings was not as economically efficient as it was once thought to be.

Already re-mastered and re-released in 1994, Rhino Records has shuttled forth their self-titled debut, and 1982's Daylight Again again, this time with extended liner notes and four bonus tracks apiece.
The latter work doesn't come close to approaching the former for sheer essentiality, but if you're growing weary of the strained freak-folk of today, both records shall be your salve.
Paradoxically, although Daylight Again evokes its time and place as surely as its predecessors, it somehow evaded the timelessness of those earlier compositions and recordings.

Again, Nash might not be the greatest popmeister in the world, but he certainly does have some instincts, and they rarely fail him.
But, again, both are distinguished by instrumental work; the guitar solo at the end of 'Laughing' is pretty like the morning sun (hey, I like my sentimental cliches as much as ol' Cros likes his).
Once again, dear old Steve Stills fully justifies my trust in him (he's by now graduated to my all-time favourite member of the band): his material is generally the strongest on the record.

Opening with "Turn Your Back on Love," the group runs through 20 songs, most of them classics associated with either CSN or the members' solo histories (going all the way back to Stills' 1966 composition "For What It's Worth").

It's a perfect compliment to the early 1990s recorded Accoustic Concert DVD, as in that one, both Crosby and Nash bring their "A games", whereas Stills has by that time lost his clear voice (though his guitar work was also excellent in that one).
It appears like he is rambling to the audience as the camera pans away, then suddenly Stills appears out of stage left and quickly escorts him away from the microphone and the scene fades to the roll credits.
