The DVD of "Dead Again" does a fine job of presenting both the color and fl and white portions of the film, although there is some slight grain present during the fl and white sequences.
One of the centerpieces of "Dead Again" is the excellent score by Patrick Doyle, and the music becomes a living, breathing character thanks to the Dolby Surround Sound.
He says the word "noir" about 500 times, and constantly refers to "Dead Again" as "this kind of film." He’s obviously proud of the piece and understands that he was responsible for making a classy thriller, but it doesn’t seem to have the importance of his Shakespearean works, which is sad.

DEAD AGAIN ($30) is a superb Hitchcockian thriller with a decidedly supernatural flavor.

The thing that has always [ticked] off critics about the Grateful Dead was that they were deliberately happy, despite the fact that they were wrestling individually with their own demons.
The problem with the Grateful Dead is that, A.) Critics would be pissed off because of the fanaticism of their audience, and B.) There was the general notion that they were the frontmen for whatever happened in San Francisco in the '60s.
What they've learned from the Grateful Dead is an attempt to take care of their own business and their relationship with each other and the audience on a more satisfactory level than being a full-time employee of Orlando, Inc.--whatever that company is that produces all of the teen-pop.

But sadly, the first two Evil Dead games have not fared remotely as well as the flicks, mixing some ill-guided humor with even worse control schemes, graphics, and gameplay.
