The "Dead Eyes See No Future" EP is as essential to the avid ARCH ENEMY fan as water is to life.
The title track, "Dead Eyes See No Future" (taken from "Anthems Of Rebellion") kicks it off like a loaded gun, followed by three non-stop live tracks that were recorded in Paris during the band's 2004 tour.
Dead eyes may see no visible future, but MY eyes see ARCH ENEMY's future, and it looks pretty damn good from where I'm standing.

The EP is comprised of the title track, 3 live tracks recorded during touring in support of Anthems of Rebellion, 3 cover songs, and last but not least the video for “We Will Rise”.
“Dead Eyes See No Future” is a great song that continues the bands tradition (that begins with Carcass) of some of the best metal guitar work on the planet.

This Arch Enemy CD really gives you a lot for an EP, the studio track Dead Eyes See No Future is the only previously released track (from Anthems of Rebellion), the rest are live tracks and cover songs.

Arch Enemy: Dead Eyes See No Future - PopMatters Music Review
One of the greatest, most imposing challenges in music is when a former member of a much-loved, highly influential band sets off on his own, and tries to create music that's just as great as his or her older material.
Coming on the heels of their very confident 2003 album Anthems of Rebellion, Arch Enemy's new EP Dead Eyes See No Future is clearly a mishmash collection, thrown together both to appease their devoted fanbase, and to help promote their upcoming North American tour.
Gossow's distinctive wail is underscored by a very subtle synth harmony, and strings and choral harmonies creep in during the melodramatic power metal of the song's middle section.

In a way they almost failed to meet their expectations on 'Anthems Of Rebellion', but I am sure that the band will not fail to impress after hearing these few tracks.
'Dead Eyes See No Future' (from Anthems Of Rebellion), which to me is a completely pointless song, plainly for the reason that most have already heard the track over and over if they own the album 'Burning Angel', 'We Will Rise' and 'Heart of Darkness' which are all live tracks recorded live in Paris 2004.
These live tracks don't offer much that we haven't already heard apart form some extra solos that the guitarists add in and they don't sound like a hugely energetic band on stage.

His life was the first of many rock and roll mini sagas that would replay themselves over and over throughout the latter part of the sixties and well into the seventies; all different, yet all frighteningly and eerily similar in their downfalls.
No sooner had he begun to ingratiate himself back into his small town when a one night dalliance with a married 23 year old had him scurrying around town trying to avoid her father, another trend that would continue for Brian until he left Cheltenham for good in '62.
His future plans were not to be as just three weeks later on July 3, 1969 Brian Jones was found dead in his swimming pool.

One of those songs happened to be “Dead Eyes See No Future”, which coincidentally enough is the title of the band’s newest ep release.
I don’t particularly see the value in covering a song you already did with your old band, but as far as replications go, it’s right on the money.
While DEAD EYES SEE NO FUTURE is a novel idea, and is an entertaining enough way to spend a half hour, it’s replay value is severely limited.

Blistering.com Review: Arch Enemy - Dead Eyes See No Future EP
As the title suggests, the lead off song ‘Dead Eyes See No Future’ has been lifted from their hugely successful Anthems Of Rebellion album of 2003, and in reality needs no introduction here.
The final number sees Arch Enemy tackle Carcass’ ‘Incarnated Solvent Abuse’ (From 1991’s Necroticism - Descanting The Insalubrious), which is no surprise given that Michael Amott was once a member of the band.
With over thirty minutes of music on offer, the Dead Eyes See No Future EP is well worth every bit of the small asking price, and a way to pick up those rare covers (And live tracks) without resorting to the inflated price of the Japanese import.

Album Review ARCH ENEMY-Dead Eyes See No Future EP :: Maelstrom :: Issue No 31
Tossing out a handful of bonuses to accompany the studio version of "Dead Eyes See No Future" from Anthems, the material on the Dead Eyes See No Future EP is mostly harmless fun, if not collectively an overt marketing vehicle to cash in on the album’s notoriety.
Live tracks of the already classic "We Will Rise" from Anthems of Rebellion, plus "Burning Angel" and "Heart of Darkness" from Wages of Sin are solid recordings that put you in the zone of a seemingly monster crowd that howls its appreciation as Arch Enemy nails their songs with practical accuracy.
Not an absolute must, but the Dead Eyes See No Future EP certainly offers more than most of the remix-laden trash heap EPs dumped on the market as of late.

Released in the fall of 2004 to coincide with one of the band's numerous tours of the U.S., Arch Enemy's Dead Eyes See No Future EP takes its title track from the previous year's widely acclaimed Anthems of Rebellion album, then piles on the extras for the benefit of die-hard fans.
And for a final bit of garnish, the quite decent promo video for "We Will Rise" figures in the package as well, lending a more complete multimedia experience to the whole caboodle, and making for a nice overall package for Arch Enemy fans.
