Deadguy broke up almost a decade ago, and the existence of this profile is not an indication of a reunion or the band being active.
Deadguy are the hardcore equivalent to The Velvet Underground: not many bought the records, but the ones that did started bands.
To the few that remember them, Deadguy represents that moment in time when hardcore and metal initally came together, a moment we are still feeling the effects of.

the bottom heaviness of 'screamin with deadguy quintet' is kind of absent (and it is the low end that brings deadguy's punishing wrath).
Aggressive, multi-directional, and evil, Deadguy's 'Fixation on a Coworker' is well worth the price of admission (but act quick as it seems this thing is almost gone) and fully deserves a rating of All Hail the Mighty Goat and a Half.

I've always thought the music of this group is a little strange.
Deadguy makes a very complicated mixture of noise, jazz, punk and hardcore which I experience as torturous in stead of a carress for the ear.
This group has been influenced by everything which makes tumult and that makes their music very hard to digest.

Kiss It Goodbye was incredible, but not quite as good as Deadguy.

I think Deadguy is one of the most enormous and influential bands hardcore has ever produced.
Seeing them live was an amazing thing because they were one of the last bands I ever saw where I was more afraid of the guys onstage than the people in the crowd.

Not sure where this album is headed or what we are supposed to get out of this, but tell ya one thing: I have got a serious headache after listening to Deadguy's latest offering.
Blending the crunch of metallic riffs and the sheer "rip n' tear" thoughts of the ultimate hardcore outfit, New Jersey's Deadguy are a prime example of an experiment gone wrong...
