The artwork is too cartoonish and the writer tries to make Deadpool more then what he actually is, a weak cross of the Punisher with the one line humor of Wolverine.
Had he read any of the current Deadpool series he would realize that it is the story of a man who has been dealt much tradgedy in his life and, as in this first story, is in constant conflict to try NOT to resolve his problems through violence and is certainly not a hero.
Joe Kelly consistently puts out the best read in comics today and I highly recommend this book to Deadpool fans who haven't been there from the start as it is the story where it all began and the rest of us were first hooked.
