  debadging [Archive] - E46Fanatics
I find it funny how guys with 323/325's debadge, and get ranted on by some of the 328/330 guys because they claim that they are trying to hide their smaller engines, but yet, I don't see anyone give any 328/330 owner sh!t for debadging his or her car.
I debadged my car the day I got it, just because I think it is really weird to have a badge on one side of the trunk.
Just debadging is so common here, that I want my car to fit in, tho the diplo plates are a givaway, but the paint is almost off them, so they're hard to see as well.

 RE: debadging the mazda
I have done this on every car I have owned for the last fre years and it is very easy and takes only about 30 minutes after some practice with no scratches at all.
Well Im not a man of patience so I went ahead and debadged the 6.
Just in case anyone else is wondering, the 2006 m6i does not have marker holes under the "mazda".

Hyundai Azera Accessories - CarSpace Automotive Forums
While you are out enjoying your Azera the debadgers are sandpapering the Michelin logo off the tires and trying to find a way to scrape the Infinity logo off the stereo.
Like allmet33 and floridabob1, my debadging has nothing to do with not being proud of a Hyundai or having too much time on my hands.
It has more to do with perceived cleaner lines from my perspective and the "mystery" factor of people not knowing what the car is. It has caused numerous people to engage me in conversation about the car.

Debadging a Volkswagen Grille   (Site not responding. Last check: )
It is possible to buy debadged grilles from upwards of £60 but if you do it yourself you should be able to halve this cost.
The mod is applicable to most wide slatted grilles such as the late Corrados, post 88 Golfs, late mk1 Cabrios, post 88 Jettas, Rallyes and the like.
If you used Halfords satin fl paint and took lots of time over the smoothing then you should have a factory look debadged grille as well as the satisfaction of having done it yourself.

Acura TSX Community - Debadging -- What's the point?
I saw a debadged G35 the other day, and it looked a lot cheaper to me. I can't explain why, but the lack of the silver badges seemed to give the paint a more plastic-like look rather than a sleek metallic look.
Debadging obviously makes the car different, however it removes the luxury look from the car.
According to research out of Super Street Magazine debadging any Honda (Acura) vehicle adds up to 20+ HP since the emblems cause so much friction to the rear wheels when more downforce is needed.

Boy racers also tend to forget that bumpers are primarily designed to protect the car from minor impacts and so the bumper designs are more for show than for safety, cracking under the slightest pressure, and causing the boy racer to find it even more difficult to negotiate speed bumps.
DEBADGING - It is not much good to the boy racer if their car looks like a Cossie but still has the telltale XR3 badges on the back.
To make sure everyone knows the boy racer's car is "pukka" many will remove all of the badges from the rear of the car, or replace them with badges for the car they wished they had.

debadging etomite - but still being fair, best way to detag a site
I've been reading a few threads on this forum about removing etomite links from an etomite site (I understand this is being considered as a pay option in [yet_to_be_announced_cms] CMS)
If this seems unacceptable or not in the spirit of what the etomite guys wanted, I'll leave it exactly as it is, I'd just like to try to tidy up the site look a little, but also not do an injustice to the etomite.org project
