Debra is a graduate of Prairie View A and M University located in Prairie View, Texas.
Debra has served as guest speaker and panelist at the Fast Company Advance, Business Week's Healthcare CIO Forum, the Coalition of 100 Black Women, the Babson College/Cambridge Technology Partner's Interactive Solutions Lyceum, World IT Congress, and the Harvard School of Public Health Seminar Series.
Finally, on a non-professional but still very interesting note; Debra Speight-Christopher was a Silver Medalist in 1976 Olympic Games and this month she was elected to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame at the African American Museum in Dallas, Texas.

Five-time Olympic gold medal winner Carl Lewis and his Santa Monica Track Club have been regular participants in the meet since 1982.  Mike Marsh, Leroy Burrell and Mark Witherspoon were among the Santa Monica Track Club star track and field athletics.
Debra Sapenter and Moses Ugdisie were silver medal winners in the Olympics.
Former TSU track and field standouts Cheryl Dickey and Mary Onyali-Omagbemi ran at TSU in the 1980’s and were members of the 1996 USA Olympic team.

 Texas Black Sports Hall Of Fame To Induct Ten Members To Mark 10th Anniversary
After graduation he taught and coached for the Hensley Sapenter School District in San Antonio.
Debra E. Sapenter-Christopher (Track): Sapenter -Christopher showed her superior skills both in the classroom and the athletic field from her early days as a student in the San Antonio Public School system to Prairie View AandM University, where she won two USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Sapenter-Christopher won the silver medal in the 400-meter dash at the 1975 Pan American Games and was a member of the 1976 United States Olympic Team winning a silver medal in the women's 4 by 400 meter relay at the Montreal Olympics.
